| Sonia Marie (Rund) Shaw Fields, age 67, of Lafayette, died at her residence on Sunday, October 18, 2009. Born in Lafayette on April 17, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Maryann (Beutel) Rund. She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. She married Daniel Fields and they divorced. Mrs. Fields worked in medical records at Home Hospital and the Woman’s Clinic for 27 years. She was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed knitting, landscaping and collecting purses, jewelry, and Fiesta Ware. Surviving are four sons, Mason Shaw and Matthew Shaw both of Lafayette, Marc Shaw (wife, Ronda) of Ellijay, GA, and Michael Shaw (wife, Gretchen) of Lakewood, CA; a daughter, Michelene Russell (husband, Morgan) of Springfield, IL.; two brothers, Jerry Rund (wife, Glenda) of Lafayette, and Frank Rund (partner, Lucy Deckard) of Battle Ground and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant brother. At the request of the deceased, private family services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness.
