| George Edward Brugh, 63, of West Lafayette, died on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Born March 10, 1946 in Lafayette, he was the son of the late George and Zephia (Lewis) Brugh. He attended Jefferson High School. He worked in production at Lafayette Wire Products as a fork lift driver from 1991 until retiring in 2008. He had previously worked at Perry Chemical from 1964 to 1972 and Spurlock Standard from 1972 to 1991.
His marriage was to Sandra Armes on June 25, 1965 in Otterbein, and she survives. He enjoyed watching the History Channel, the Food Network, and NASCAR. Since his retirement, he and his wife set up as vendors at flea markets all over the state of Indiana and the local fairgrounds indoor flea markets in the winter.
Surviving with his wife is a son, James Brugh of Lafayette; a sister, Mary Ann Mullins (husband, Roy) of Lafayette; and a brother-in-law, and good friend, Frank Armes. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ellen Johnson and Barbara Fawbush and two brothers, Frank and Robert Brugh.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral service 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, Celebrant Carla Ellis officiating. Burial to follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
