| Louise S. Y. (Lee) Lin, 74, of West Lafayette, died 12:12 pm, Thursday, February 25, 2010, at her residence. Born in Hankow, China on October 27, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Kwan-Yee and C. T. Yuen Lee. A resident of West Lafayette since 1962, she previously resided in Newark, New Jersey. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Saint Scholastica College in Atchison, Kansas in 1960, and worked as a dietitian at East Orange Hospital in New Jersey for two years.
She married Pen-Min Lin on December 29, 1962 in Newark, and he survives. Mrs. Lin was a member of Church of the Blessed Sacrament. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, was a silver level student at Arthur Murray Dance Studio, and won many trophies in competitions.
Surviving with her husband are three daughters, Marian C.H. Lin (husband: Michael Vu) of Santa Clara, CA, Margaret C.N. Lin of Oakland, CA, and Janice C.Y. Huang (husband: Kuang-Hao) of Oak Park, IL; and three sisters, Josephine Lo (husband: Ignatius) of Wynnewood, PA, Theresa Chu (husband: Richard) of Hopewell Junction, NY, and Amelia Hsieh (husband: Patrick) of West Lafayette.
Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Max, Maia, Josh, and Gabriel. Louise was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence Lin and two sisters, Agnes Shieh and Mary Alex Lee.
A private Funeral Mass will take place, with Father David Buckles officiating. Private burial to follow at St. Boniface Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
