| Anthony T. “Tony” Funkhouser, 64, of Lafayette, died on Tuesday, March 09, 2010 at Clarian Arnett Hospital. Born in Linton, IN on March 25, 1945, he was the son of Mary (Passen) Funkhouser of Lafayette and the late Anthony W. Funkhouser. He was a 1964 graduate of Jefferson High School. After graduation he worked at John Ewing Motorcycle and then Essex Wire before going into the Army. He was stationed in Germany from 1965 to 1967.
On December 24, 1965 he married Linda D. Watkins and she survives. Mr. Funkhouser was a tool and die maker for Fairfield Manufacturing for 41 years, retiring in 2009. He enjoyed fishing and boating with his children and grandchildren and was an avid coin collector.
Surviving with his wife and mother are two daughters, Linda Cooper (husband, Tobias) of Lafayette, and Sandy Mullins (husband, Kerry) of West Lafayette; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harold “Bud” and Pat Bowsher of Lafayette; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three aunts, one uncle, and several nieces and nephews.
