Carlos Mario Gomez Raygoza

Carlos Mario Gomez-Raygoza, 47, of Lafayette passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at IU Health Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born October 14, 1972 in Colotan, Jalisco, Mexico to Hortencio and Erminia (Raygoza) Gomez. Carlos was a General Practice Doctor receiving his Medico Cirujano y Partero license from Universidad De Guadalajara (CUCS). On December 30, 1999 he married Rocio Munoz in Colotlan, Jalisco, Mexico and she survives. Carlos was a mentor, helped people in need and was always smiling. He always showed strength and wisdom in any situation. Most of all he loved his family and will be missed dearly. He was also an avid soccer fan. Along with his wife Rocio, he is survived by his two children: Olivia Gomez and Jose De Jesus Gomez; siblings: Martin (Norma) Gomez, Ramon (Elidia) Gomez, Hortencio (Norma) Gomez, Guillermo (Ana) Gomez, Miguel (Edna) Gomez, Lorena (Mario) Gomez, Celia (Primitivo) Gomez and Erminia (Rafael) Gomez. He is preceded in death by his daughter Karol Guadalupe Gomez. Visitation will be held from 5pm – 9pm Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 10am Friday, January 31, 2020 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Father Tim Alkire officiating. Burial will take place in Mexico. Per Carlos’s wishes, he asked that you please wear bright colors or white to show he is still with us in our memories and our hearts.
