Dennis Jennings, 66, of Lafayette, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at IU Health in Lafayette, IN. He was born December 8, 1954 in Lafyette, IN, to Randall and Gertrude (Rigsby) Jennings. Dennis was a life long resident of Lafayette. He worked for Industrial Plating Inc as a Truck Driver for 26 years. He was married to Tami Jennings for 21 year and then later married to Christine McCord, both survive. Dennis was a musician and loved playing music. He was a member of the band, Long Overdue, which he played classic country music for 15 years. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge #347 and the VFW of Frankfort. Dennis is survived by son Dennis Wayne Jennings of North Dakota, Jeramie (wife, Jennifer) Jennings of Lafayette, Steven M Jennings of Lafayette, Kasson Quintana of Lafayette, and daughter Baylee Renee Jennings of Lafayette; one sister Melody (husband, David) Henson of Lafayette, and one brother Robert (wife, Valorie) Jennings of Chicago, along with 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, great grandson Zachary, brothers John Jennings and Ronnie Jennings. Per his daughter Baylee's request please wear your Long Overdue T-shirts on Friday and Saturday. Visitation will be held Friday, January 29, 2021 from 5-8pm at Hippensteel Funeral Home. There will be a private family service held at 2pm on Saturday, January 30, 2021. Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
