Kenneth R. Mauck- Kenneth R. Mauck, 72, of Lafayette died December 22, 2020, at IU Health Arnett Hospital. He was born in Lafayette, July 24, 1948, to the late Charles W Mauck and Marie Y. Mauck. He attended Lafayette schools and graduated from Jefferson High School in the class of 1966. He graduated from Purdue University and earned a Ph.D. in history from The University of Oklahoma. Upon graduation from Oklahoma, he took a job with the Central Intelligence Agency as an analyst and agent. He specialized in the Far East doing stints in the Philippines, Korea, Japan, and Thailand where he met and married his wife of 29 years, Prapaporn Chairoj. She survives. He also served several temporary duty assignments in Indonesia and Malaysia. Ken is also survived by his brothers Clyde Mauck of Lafayette and John Mauck (wife Linda) of Rochester, NY. Ken was an enthusiastic sports fan, especially of Purdue sports. Genealogy was an avocation for Ken. He spent much time over the years researching his family tree.
