Robert W. Wade Robert W. Wade, 79, of Lafayette passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Franciscan Alliance in Lafayette. He was born July 29, 1941 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Robert C. and M. Eileen (Dodd) Wade. Robert was a career Field Engineer with Burroughs which later became Unisys. On May 12, 1962 Robert married Mary Pemberton in Speedway, IN. They were married for 58 years. Robert was a member of the First Christian Church and the Lafayette Cloud Jockeys. He enjoyed fishing and canoeing. He loved spending time with his family and 6 grandsons. He is survived by his wife Mary, sons: Robert J. (wife, Kathryn) Wade, Douglas M. (wife, Nancy), and Matthew C. (wife, Janelle) Wade; sister, Joyce Smiley; and 6 grandsons: Brooks Wade, Jacob Wade, Joshua Wade, Gram Wade, Will Wade and Camden Proctor. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Sharon Wilson. No formal services are being held at this time. Hippensteel Funeral Home is assisting family with arrangements.
